I began my nursing career at Beaumont Hospital in 1993. Over the years, I have gained a vast amount of experience in various clinical areas, with my favorite being palliative and end-of-life care. I have always had a love for complementary therapies and was fascinated when I saw the calmness they brought to people. Having experienced working in a stressful environment, I understand how stress can affect both the body and mind.
Transition and Career Shift
I decided it was time to make some changes to my career. I started my journey by attending a diploma in Aromatherapy course, and I was hooked. Learning took on a new meaning for me. I was amazed at the effects that essential oils could have on a person and how we have the ability to rebalance our bodies through their use. It was suddenly like a new world had opened up.
Qualifications and Business Plan
Following the completion of my diploma in aromatherapy, I pursued a diploma in Reflexology. I realised that I could really help people to help themselves make changes to their health and wellbeing. Along with my years of nursing experience, especially in end-of-life care and palliative care, and my new qualifications, I knew I could start my own business, “Smellyfeet.”
Continued Learning and Approach
I continually update my skills and knowledge by attending professional development courses on CPD and events. I offer an open and empathetic approach. Whatever your concerns, I strive to help you achieve your own natural balance, improve your health, and provide you with an overall sense of well-being. Home visits and online, remote consultations can be arranged upon request.

I am a member of the Irish Reflexologist’s Institute and The International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists, the largest aromatherapy-specific professional practitioner organisation in the UK. I am involved in supporting aromatherapists and improving standards of education and practice in aromatherapy. Additionally, I am fully insured as a Clinical Reflexologist through Balens, Specialist Insurance Brokers for Health and Wellbeing Professionals and Organisations.
